Jinchuan County locates in Sichuan Province, eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The county and the neighboring region is not completely explored, so it still keeps the pristine landscape scenery and folk custom. Jinchuan County (金川)
There are thousands of pear trees and countless flowers planted in this little county. Because of the mild climate, the county embellished by flowers all year round. March is the most beautiful month, because the entire white pear flower will blossom. The snow-white flowers make you feel that the winter haven’t gone. In summer, the average temperature in Jinchuan is only 25℃ (77℉), and the county will be covered by green color. In autumn, the pear trees will take off their green shirts and put on the golden or red coat. This colorful season is also the harvest season, the crop make the county more beautiful.
Akeli Village (阿科里乡)
Akeli is a Tibetan Village near Jinchuan County. The village is peaceful and beautiful. The marnyi stones, prayer flags and Buddha statues showing the genuine devotion of the residents. The villagers are honest and friendly, and they will greet you like a friend.
Ake Snow Mountain (阿科雪山)
Ake Snow Mountain is the highest mountain in Jinchuan, which has an altitude of 4800 meters. It is a really fairyland that can only be visited in July and August. You cannot find this place even in Google Map. Hiking along the gravel road to the top, overlook the villages far away, you will find yourself inside the frames of Miyazaki Hayao’s animation.
Lovers’ Lake (情人海)
The Lovers’ Lake is hiding in the valley of Ake Snow Mountain. The lake surface is flat like a mirror. In winter, she looks like a piece of white jade, and in summer, she looks like a drop of blue tear. The sky, lake, forest, Tibetan villages, yaks and horses compose a painting scroll of the heaven on earth.
The Sun River Valley (太阳河谷)
The Sun River Valley is in the northwest of Jinchuan. This place is famous for photographers because of the colorful forest. In autumn, the valley will be covered by red and yellow color.
Mosika Village (莫斯卡村)
Hiking the Ake Snow Mountain, there is a hidden village in the mountain grassland call Mosika Village. It is embraced by three holy mountains, and the scenery around is wonderful. Because of inconvenient transportation, the nature scenery and folk custom remains the origin.
Dang Ridge (党岭)
From Mosika Village to Dunbar, you will go through Dang Ridge. This is another place with breathtaking autumnal scenery.
Dunbar (丹巴)
Dunbar is 68km away from Dang Ridge. This Tibetan village is built close to the mountains. If you are not in a hurry, you can stay here for a day or two and enjoy an authentic Tibetan life.
