East China Rural Tour

Day 1

Arrival  Shanghai Transfer: by plane – own arrangement
Program: Be met at the airport and transfer to hotel at former French concession in colonical age. It’s a quiet and peaceful area and also convenient with the nearby MTR station. Rest of the day is free at leisure for your own exploration of the city.

Accommodations: Anting Villa Hotel, Shanghai (1 night)

Day 2 (B D)

Shanghai – Tunxi Transfer: by plane (economy class)
Tunxi – Wuyuan Transfer: by private evhicle
Program: Morning is free at leisure. You will be picked up from hotel and transferred to airport for flight to Huangshan (Tunxi). On arrival in Tunxi Airport, you will be met and drive directly to Wuyuan (2.5hrs). Overnight in hotel at Wuyuan.

Day 3 (B, L)

Wuyuan
Today, you will visit some villages with typical Anhui building style, which affected East China’s buildings deeply in the past. Likeng Village and Sixi Village are both ancient Song Dynasty villages dated back to more than 600 years. Xiaoqi Village is an ancient Qing Dynasty village with many 600 years old buildings well preserved.

Day 4 (B, L)

Wuyuan – Huangshan Mt. Transfer: by private evhicle
After breakfast, you will drive about 3hrs to Huangshan Mt. Take cable car to the top and walk 15 minutes to hotel check in. Rest of the time is to explore the mountain sceneries with your guide escorted.

Day 5 (B, L)

Huangshan Mt. – Xidi Transfer: by private evhicle
Today, you will have almost a full day to view fantastic view of the mountain. Take late afternoon cable car down the mountain and transfer to Xidi Village and overnight in a boutique hotel, Pig’s Inn.

Day 6 (B, L)

Xidi
Full day visit Xidi Village and nearby Nanping Village

Day 7 (B, L)

Xidi – Hangzhou – Wuzhen
After breakfast, drive 3.5hrs to Hangzhou. Visit the West Lake with a boat cruise and Linying Temple before driving to Wuzhen (1.5hrs). Overnight in the peaceful village.

Day 8 (B, L)

Wuzhen
Visit Wuzhen West today. you will also see antique exhibits at Golden Lillies Museum, White Lily Pagoda and Zhaoming College which was built in 503AD. You will also take a cruise along some of its famous canals.

Day 9 (B)

Wuzhen – Shanghai – departure
Transfer to Shanghai Airport (2.5hrs) for your flight to next destination. If time permit, you can have a last minute shopping in Shanghai.
